The Capture of Persephone

Inspired by the story in Classical Greek Mythology of the changes of the seasons. Persephone was a beautiful maiden who while gathering flowers one day was captured by Hades and taken into his underworld cavern. She was able to return to Earth for part of each year and had to stay in the underworld for several months. This is the story the Greeks told to explain the changing of the seasons.
